I'm dreaming of a white Christmas ...
white sands would do fine, too ...
but both snow and sands will have to wait.
I'm dreaming of a CHRISTmas ...
here in Thailand -- a land of Buddhists
the only Christmas is more of a Santamas or Bellmas ...
God cannot be mentioned.
Even in the Starbucks, when a song was played that contained the words "holy" and "Christ" (and they weren't used as exclamatory comments) the song was immediately turned off.
But, we are so looking forward to attending a church service this Sunday! There will be a few words we'll recognize!!!
No matter where this Christmas finds you (physically and spiritually!) ... may your Christmas be blessed because of Jesus Christ -- who is worthy of all of our celebrations!

Merry Christmas to you and Jim from cold and snowy, sleety and rainy Seattle. This really is not such a nice to be right now so no need to be envious. We did get snow on Christams Day though and that was special. Happens once in a 100 years. It started around 2pm with huge beautiful flakes that couldn't stick as it was too warm, but by 4pm when it got dark the snow stuck but was gone in the morning.
Sorry I haven't been active on your blog for at least 6 months. I was lurking every nowandthen though. Catching up so much fun. You sure get around.
I so enjoy all your frank comments about your life in Nigeria. The people around you sure are lucky. I'm sure you have allready touched many lives forever with who you are and what you do. Thank you for coming into my life via my husband's cousin.
I spent a month travelling around Kenya and Tanzania by myself checking out lodges and camps for potential clients. I learned a lot and I love being around the local people in Africa. I find them all so very friendly and they sure have a good sense of humor too.
Because I'm inspired by you, I have started my own blog here on Google yesterday. It wasn't that hard at all. Surprise!!! I hope it will be a successfull as yours. the address is http://KristinaSafari.blogspot.com
All the best for 2008 from Kristina and Tom
