Friendly Faces

I've got so many photos I'd love to share -- time only permits me to load a few at a time.
Here's Jim with Prince and our car -- all three are certainly good lookin', don't you think???

One of the resident girls.

Three drivers. Everyone poses whenever they see me walking about with my camera. I do think I'm going to have to take most floral photos on Sundays (when few workers are around) or I'll use up all of my ink and photo paper printing copies for all of the dear people who ask me to take their photo!!

Another child living on the camp.

Great to hear from you, Kristina. Anytime you want to visit Nigeria, we'd be thrilled! It's not such a tourist place as is East Africa but the beaches in Lagos are pretty decent (so we've heard) and there's a "resort area" about 2 - 3 hours from us at a nice beach. Our driver said it's fantastic; expats said it's about a 2-star quality but the water's great!
We're working on a way to get permission to get up into the villages where Prince is from. His descriptions make us sooooooo want to go but Jim's company is quite cautious with safety issues. Our initial checking has proven hopeful, so, sometime we'll get up that way -- ride in a canoe, climb a tree and pick mangos (ok, maybe pay a young boy to climb the tree!!) Further north, in the Jos area, there are actually seasons and there's a great game reserve. It's a drier climate -- strongly influenced by the Sahara.
