I have found the lizards to be just as afraid of me as I am of them. Of course, that's what they say about bears in Alaska, too!
The rock behind us is called Zuma Rock -- it's the exact center of the country.
The only picture in this batch from Port Harcourt is the one with the bird -- a katu egret. The rest are taken in Abuja, which is much more arid. The sky color is from harmattan, the winds from the Sahara -- a tasty addition to your food when eating outdoors!!!
